Casas da Capela do Monte is a heritage project dedicated to preserving and promoting a unique chapel, designed and built by Pritzker Award-winning architect Alvaro Siza Vieira. The website mirrors the chapel’s ethos through a minimalist design approach, a refined and clean logo, and a restrained use of imagery, striving to capture the essence of the simplicity and serenity of the space itself. My role encompassed branding, and web development ensuring a seamless, engaging experience. By prioritizing clarity and subtle aesthetics, the site attempts to bridge the divide between minimalist and brutalist web design, conveying the chapel’s cultural significance without distractions. This project showcases my ability to create thoughtful digital experiences where design and content are tailored to fit the experience of a physical space and work harmoniously to enhance storytelling and user engagement.

Your Lisbon Flat offers a curated selection of stylish, short-term rental properties in Portugal, catering to travellers looking for comfort and convenience. For this project, I was responsible for the full digital experience, including web development, content strategy, and UX/UI design. I focused on ensuring that properties were presented clearly and engagingly and effectively delivering existing pitches. To enhance the guest experience and better address their needs during their stay and while exploring the city, I created a guest dedicated website for each property managed by YLF. These password protected sites offer comprehensive details, from available amenities and legal requirements for your stay to curated recommendations for activities and attractions, including top restaurants, and must-see landmarks.Additionally, I redid their social media presence, developed copy, and implemented a communications strategy across multiple channels. The borderline minimalist design, with subtle visuals, a clean layout, smooth animations, and the use of collapsable elements echoes the convenience and high-end comfort, a simplicity and elegance the brand needs to project to hit its target audience. This project demonstrates my ability to deliver cohesive digital solutions across design, content, and marketing for the hospitality industry.

Your Lisbon Laundry offers convenient self-service laundry services for both locals and travelers in Lisbon, with a strong emphasis on quality, speed, and reliability.I was responsible for the entire digital experience, encompassing web development, content strategy, and UX/UI design. The website features a clean aesthetic, punctuated with small, water inspired, design elements that complement the laundry theme, allowing users to easily access service details, FAQ, pricing, and tutorials without sacrificing visual appeal. In addition to the website, I revitalized the brand's social media presence, developed engaging copy, created content, and crafted a comprehensive communications strategy to enhance brand visibility. This project showcases my ability to deliver all-encompassing digital solutions by integrating design, content, and marketing strategies, resulting in significant returns on investment.

The "This Is Our Memorial" website was created as a digital companion to an out-of-home (OOH) activism campaign that highlighted an overlooked historical injustice. Its goal was to give a voice to the voiceless victims and to apply pressure on authorities by bringing this issue into mainstream public discourse. The website launched alongside three striking billboard installations during a major international event, which was chosen for its relevance to the campaign's subject matter. This strategic move attracted attention from global media outlets such as Reuters, CNN, and Politico.I was responsible for the website development, emphasizing quick load times, readability, and accessibility of information. The site features bold colours, including my favourite shade of yellow that complements the vibrant billboard design created by Telma from Eat Your Cake. Additionally, I led the communications strategy, managing press relations, media planning, and crisis management in response to the extensive coverage from reputable outlets. The copy was carefully crafted to resonate deeply with the project’s purpose and target audience. The tone pairs assertive and combative language with respect and empathy that such a sensitive topic deserves. This initiative demonstrates my ability to create a cohesive and impactful digital experience that integrates with large-scale campaigns, blending simple web design, compelling content, and strategic communications to amplify the message and its reach.

Sweven is a Deep Tech company on a mission: to pioneer the frontiers of innovation through deep tech research and development.I was responsible for branding the company, ensuring the visual identity aligned with its core values of trust, precision, and clarity. This included the logo design, colour scheme, presentations, materials, signage, building plaques, etc. I also did a fair bit of copywriting, by penning their mission statement, tag lines and building a brand book.Taking the chosen name and balancing their dual theme was a challenge. On the one hand, there was the hard, data-driven deep tech research. On the other, the "Sweven" or Dream (the Middle English derivation of the Old English "swefn" that means dream vision). The design is modern, clean, and professional, highlighting the company’s commitment to high-quality research and innovation while evoking its golden dream for the future. The project showcases my ability to create a cohesive brand identity from the ground up, with a focus on delivering both functional and visually appealing design elements that support business goals.

Quinta Lusitânia is dedicated to showcasing an ancient Portuguese Manor House, highlighting its history, its current purpose as the noble residence of the Viscounts of Valpaços, an upscale rural guesthouse and a riding school.I was responsible for the website redesign, focusing on a more modern, user-friendly layout that aligns with the brand’s premium identity. The redesign was focused on adding multiple new functionalities, sorely missed in its previous iteration, completely rebuilding all design aspects of the site while improving navigation to enhance the overall user experience. This project demonstrates my ability to take an already finished product and elevate it, scaling a brand’s digital presence through strategic design and enhanced functionality, ensuring a seamless and engaging online experience.

Gigs on Mars is a full-service talent agency, dedicated to producing live music experiences and providing talent booking services to both established and upcoming artists.I was responsible for the website design, ensuring a visually engaging experience. At conception, the main purpose of the site was to be a showcase for the brand, focused on a bright and bold colour palette. Special care was taken to pair the lush red and deep black with several shades of grey and some urban art touches to set the mood and create aesthetic symmetry. I also did the copywriting, social and content creation strategy, crafting a cohesive narrative to enhance audience engagement. My comms strategy helped expand visibility and reach, aligning the project with its target audience.During my time as Gigs on Mars Comms Lead, I also ran point on the brand's campaigns. From creative content strategies to execution of the brand's paid campaigns, from social to search engine to OOH, especially focused on shows and festivals promoted directly by the company. This project highlights my ability to create a compelling digital presence through strategic design and branding, ensuring a seamless experience across web, content, and social platforms.

Lemon Live Entertainment is a leader in the entertainment content space, operating mostly in continental Europe and Africa, with a focus on promoting live entertainment events. At their core, they are a full-service entertainment company, focused on both live-action for children ages 3 to 12 (being licensees of multiple major IPs) and live music shows for the under 40 demographic. In my time as Lemon's Comms Lead, I was responsible for a website redesign, ensuring an update to a sleeker, more contemporary, and user-friendly experience. Additionally, I took point on all company external comms, from copywriting to social content strategy to establish a consistent and engaging brand voice. A heavy focus was placed on running paid campaigns for live-action shows and music festivals, which ran from Social to TV spots, search engine to radio and OOH.My comms strategy helped boost visibility and audience engagement, aligning the ROI from paid campaigns with overall business goals. This project showcases my ability to create a cohesive digital identity through strategic design and digital comms, delivering an impactful presence across web, content, and social platforms. It further stands as an example of the wide range of campaigns I can manage from both a creative, media planner and comms strategist POV.

CENTURY 21 Portugal & Spain is a leading real estate franchise specializing in property sales, rentals, and investment opportunities. As part of the global C21 network, it offers expert market knowledge, professional consultancy, and a wide portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The brand is known for its strong bet on local presence, innovative marketing strategies, and customer-focused approach. It also places a premium on relationships with its franchisees, being a major provider of training and educational materials for individual real estate agents.I was Digital Comms Lead during a very special time at C21 in Portugal and Spain: the rebrand. To say rebranding is a monumental task is an understatement. When the rebrand is for a company that has become synonymous with its business segment, the stakes are as high as they get.As the Digital Lead, I was responsible for the rebranding of the franchise's digital properties. Backed by a well-targeted organic and paid campaign (TV+Radio+Social+Search+Activations+OOH) that stretched for nearly 6 months and culminated with a sponsor activation at Rock in Rio Lisboa. The results were very satisfying ROI-wise, particularly on social where the brand saw a massive increase across all metrics and hundreds of qualified franchising leads. This project showcases my ability to manage a cohesive digital brand identity for a major company through strategic design and digital comms, delivering an impactful presence across web, content, and socials. It further stands as a showcase of the wide range of campaigns I can manage from both a creative, media planner and comms strategist POV.

Jack of all Comms

So I've been around for a while.Seen a lot, and done a lot.Sang in bands. Was a translator before everyone used AI.Once upon a time, I was an Ops Manager. Then a Contract Q&A Specialist.Did the corporate thing, moved on to work in the entertainment industry where I was a Tour Manager, did Talent Booking, worked on so many show and festival productions... and started doing Comms.Sorry, that was a bit of a nostalgic rant, wasn't it?I'll get to the point: working in so many different roles over such a wide range of industries has shaped me into a multidisciplinarian jack of all trades. And I bring all of this expertise, and experience to every project I undertake.Currently, I work as a freelancer with clients spanning a wide range of industries, everything from hospitality and laundry services to globe-trotting music acts and short-term rentals. This site is meant to provide a glimpse into my work and will always be a work in progress.Feel free to reach out for a chat! Whether it’s friendly or professional, I’m always here and happy to connect.Let's grab a coffee and discuss how I can help you achieve your goals.Cheers.G.

Yes, i do random.

A lot. Like a lot a lot.

Every once in a while you do something that gives you a giggle.Sometimes it's just a silly idea that you'd never really use (or maybe you would?). Or maybe you created something for a friend to use in x situation and you liked it too much.More often than not these are not grand things. Well, I don't really do grandiose anyway. But for some unexplainable reason I sometimes feel like way too proud of little clips, reels, a logo favour or an image edit that I didn't make for work. Or it was work, but you never ended up using it/feel it should have gotten more attention instead of buried by an algorithm.Every once in a while I'll post one of those here. They'll be quirky, hopefully witty. Can't speak to its quality. But I can promise you this:It will be random.I like random. Random is good.
